Quit Smoking with Electronic Cigarettes
Before you discuss further about how you can quit smoking with the help of an electronic cigarette, I do need to remind you that e-cig vaping devices are not originally designed as quit smoking tools. Instead, electronic cigarettes are designed to act as an alternative to cigarettes. However, you can pair your electronic cigarette with the right quit smoking program in order to be able to stop smoking without hassle.
When you first switch to an electronic cigarette, make sure you select the correct nicotine level and flavor according to your needs and preferences. This will allow your body to adjust to the new smoking habit rather quickly. Use the e-cig vaping device for two weeks or so and get used to the characteristics of your electronic cigarette during the period. Don’t forget to stop smoking tobacco cigarettes altogether once you have switched to an electronic cigarette.
Once you are comfortable with smoking an electronic cigarette, you will have no trouble at all quitting smoking. From the current nicotine level you are consuming, switch to cartridges with lower nicotine and let your body adjust to the new nicotine consumption for another two weeks. If you start with a full 16Mg cartridge, for example, you can switch to a Light 12Mg cartridge to continue.
Repeat the step and continue to reduce the nicotine level you are consuming. Let your body adjust to the changes for two weeks after each change so that you don’t have to deal with withdrawal effects and other unwanted side effects when you switch to cartridges with a lower nicotine level. Before you know it, you will be using the nicotine-free refill cartridges.
Once you have reached the nicotine-free refill cartridges, you can choose to continue using the electronic cigarette or quit anytime you want without a problem.
